Nearly 40 billion Euro for EU Funds in 2014-2020

 

In a meeting concerning the allocation of EU Funds ( structural and cohesion) the Minister Eugen Teodorovici presented Romania's proposal for the years 2014-2020.

 

The budgets will be divided as follows:

 

Operational Program Agriculture (direct payments): 11 billion Euro

 

Operational Program Cooperation with Bulgaria and Hungary: 600 million Euro

 

Operational Program Rural Development: 6,68 million Euro

 

Operational Program Technical Assistance: 300 million Euro

 

Operational Program Administrative Development: 960 million Euro

 

Operational Program Competitiveness: 1.35 billion Euro

 

Operational Program Development of Human Capital: 2.1 billion Euro

 

Operational Program Regions (Regional Operation Programme): 6.9 billion Euro

 

Operational Program Infrastructure: 6,98 billion Euro

 

The EU Funds were created for development and are financial instruments in the management of the European Commission and their purpose is to provide support for development. This financial support from EU Funds is intended mainly for regions that are less developed, in order to strengthen economic and social cohesion in the European Union.
